Jim Dicker has been training for and competing in triathlons for 19 years. In 2005, he switched his focus from Olympic to long course events, completing Ironman Wisconsin in 2006, Ironman Louisville in 2007, and Ironman Wisconsin in 2008 where he qualified for Kona while breaking his age group course record by over 34 minutes. In addition to competing at the World Championships this year, Jim won his age group at a number of triathlons including The Spirit of Racine half distance, and The Bigfoot Olympic distance triathlons. Jim is interested working with athletes who are seeking to get the most out of their training. He is especially interested in helping those training with power and pace devices, maximize their investments, whether they want to earn a slot at Kona or simply improve their fitness level. Jim is a leader in using the latest analytical tools to help his athletes achieve their goals. When not coaching and training, Jim teaches architecture at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he is the advisor for the Triathlon Club.
